Australian Barry Lambert Launches Company To Import Medical Cannabis From the USA

 Barry Lambert, has launched Australia’s first business importing medicinal cannabis from the United States.

The company says its goal with cannabidiol (CBD) products is to provide patients with greater access to high quality and affordable hemp-derived cannabis extract.

The company, which has major hemp-growing operation in Kentucky state, is the first Australian company to import medicinal cannabis from the United States.

Two products will be available to patients under the company’s “Ananda Hemp” brand: 60 count bottles of full spectrum CBD softgels and full spectrum CBD tinctures.

Ecofibre listed last March at $1 per share and has more than doubled in price – pushing its market capitalisation to $333 million. The stock shot up 8¢, or 3 per cent, to $2.79 by 1215 AEDT on Thursday on news of the launch.
