Pakistan Coast Guards seize hashish worth $19.62 million in Balochistan

The Pakistan Coast Guards have seized 1,176 kilograms of hashish worth $19.62 million on the international market in an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan province.

This operation resulted in the confiscation of both the vehicle and the drugs, which are estimated to have an international market value of $19.62 million.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against those involved in the operation.

Earlier, the Pakistan Coast Guards seized narcotics valued at $21.62 million from Balochistan province.

“In an intelligence-driven counter-narcotics operation, the Pakistan Coast Guards intercepted approximately 743 kg (1,719 pounds) of hashish and 57 kg (125 pounds) of methamphetamine from a vehicle in Gawadar,” stated the coastal security forces on Friday, without specifying the date of the interception.

During the operation in Gwadar, the traffickers absconded, abandoning the narcotics in their vehicle, the statement further noted.

The statement indicated that the seized narcotics are valued at approximately $21.84 million in the international market.
