Over 14 hashish roots have been destroyed by the Vlora Police and four people have been arrested in a wide-ranging anti-cannabis operation spanning several villages in Vlora and Saranda.
The action has been extended to six villages, Kuç, Mekat, Armën, Dushkarak, Dhrovjan and Vergo.
Four people have been arrested as suspected perpetrators of cultivating the narcotic plant. They are Qemal and Virion Baraj, 50 and 33 years old, Orges Feta, 25 years old, and Anastas Bregaj, 38 years old, TCH reports.
At the end of the operation, the police destroyed the narcotics by burning them, while work continues to identify and arrest other people involved in drug cultivation.
