Lessons from Licensing

The Licensing Team reminds everyone that all payments to OCP need to be paid by cashier’s check or money order made payable to “Treasurer, State of Maine”. OCP is unable to accept personal checks or cash. Please be sure to include your name and license number on your payment so that it can be matched to the correct account, and remember, all fees are non-refundable.

Compliance Corner

Caregivers and dispensaries may sell or gift cannabis to individuals with valid patient certification. However, selling or gifting medical cannabis to non-patients is not authorized. There appears to be a misunderstanding of the rules as we have recently seen an increased number of medical program participants gifting to non-patients. Again, this is not authorized.
