Announcement: February 1, 2021, the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved and filed emergency regulations implementing the processes for cannabis businesses to authorize state cannabis licensing authorities to share licensee application and regulatory information with financial institutions

On February 1, 2021, the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved and filed emergency regulations implementing the processes for cannabis businesses to authorize state cannabis licensing authorities to share licensee application and regulatory information with financial institutions pursuant to Business and Professions Code section 26260 as established by Assembly Bill 1525 (Jones-Sawyer, Chapter 270, Statutes of 2020). The state cannabis licensing authorities have developed two forms to implement these regulations. The same forms are being used by all three state cannabis licensing authorities, streamlining the process for licensees and financial institutions:
