Associate Attorney, Real Estate
Mid-Level Real Estate Attorney – Hospitality and Cannabis

The firm is seeking a mid-level real estate attorney to join our expanding real estate group. The ideal candidate would have between 3 and 6 years of real estate transactional experience lending support to the following responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating retail leases with a focus on tenant representation;
- Drafting reviewing and negotiating ancillary documents – for example, term sheet/letter of intent, assignment of lease, amendment of lease and surrender of lease;
- Communicating directly with clients, and counseling them on transactional strategies and offering legal risk assessments; and
- Supporting transactions and due diligence.
The candidate we are seeking is an excellent legal drafter, and a pro-active, energetic, and hardworking team player (ideally with a passion for food and the hospitality industry generally!). The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment, and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
To be considered, the candidate must be admitted to practice law in the State of New York, and possess a J.D. from an accredited law school. The candidate must reside within commuting distance of Manhattan, New York, or be willing to relocate to such area (though candidates are advised that firm attorneys are currently working remotely as a result of the pandemic).
Salary commensurate with experience.
