Looking at the individual members backgrounds it quickly identifies the type of individuals and companies that are going to flourish in the “legal” Australian environment
We have an ex member of Federal Parliament,an ex Clayton Utz lawyer who also worked in media & communication for a Federal MP ( and now also manages a wine business),the standard financial services bod, a funds manager or two.
The message, we’d suggest is clear.
The industry that is being built in Australia is only for individuals with “credible” political and financial connections.
A shame, as we believe in terms of job creation , education and more this will not be the way to build a flourishing industry on a range levels that could earn the country revenue throughout the region. The industry is being concentrated in the hands of a few with defined business practices and revenue models. It won’t allow for invention.
