The Office of Medicinal Cannabis was established in 2016 within the Regulation, Health Protection and Emergency Management Division, and from 1 January 2021 will sit within the Prevention and Population Health Branch of Branch of this Division. The Office is responsible for implementing and overseeing the Victorian government’s medicinal cannabis commitments.
Activities of this position will include coordinating, policy and monitoring functions relating to the government’s medicinal cannabis compassionate access scheme, clinical trials initiative, and associated work, as well as contributing to related work in the prevention and population health branch.
Are you

  • Able to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders who represent the clinical sector, government departments and private industries?
  • Able to collect and analyse data to identify risks and trends, develop insightful and creative solutions, and present information in a clear and logical manner?
  • Experienced in research and evaluation within a complex policy environment?
