Belize: Police Constable Charged With Intent To Supply After Being Found With 18 Kilos Of Cannabis

ORANGE WALK TOWN, Tues. Dec. 29, 2020– Police constable Dion Bellini, 35, of Maya Mopan, Belmopan, was busted with over 18 kilos of cannabis on Christmas Eve in Orange Walk Town.

At 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, police conducted a joint operation in Orange Walk, and during that operation they observed a white Jeep parked on the compound of a private business establishment, and PC Bellini was under the vehicle.

The vehicle was searched in Bellini’s presence, and two suitcases were found in the rear cargo section. Inside those two suitcases were thirty-three parcels of cannabis, which totalled 18.3 kilograms in weight.

Bellini was arrested and charged for “possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply’’.
