Cannabis Bust Net $1.6 Million in Product in Antioch, Brentwood

The California Department of Cannabis Control confirmed search warrants in the City of Antioch and City of Brentwood recently.

According to the DCC, On October 3, 2024, DCC’s Law Enforcement Division (LED) along with Antioch Code Enforcement, Antioch Animal Control, Brentwood Police Department and Brentwood Code Enforcement served three search warrants on unlicensed indoor cannabis cultivators located in residential homes in Contra Costa County.

Two of the warrants were served in Antioch at Horseshoe Circle, Le Conte Circle and one in Brentwood on Tiffany Drive.

The combined results of the search warrants resulted in the seizure of 1,007 pounds of illegal cannabis products, including 1,981 cannabis plants worth an estimated value of more than $1.6million. Numerous illegal pesticides were found inside the Le Conte Circle location along with a small, malnourished kitten. Animal control took the kitten and will make it available for adoption when it is healthy.

All three locations were red tagged for code violations and had the power turned off by local code enforcement. No arrests were made.

Note – CNN broke a story back on Aug 31 which also connects and Oakland Police Officer (Samson Liu) who is now placed on leave which say “the matter is under investigation.” while they are “cooperating with outside law enforcement agencies.” Liu had 80 pounds of illegal marijuana trimmings stashed away in piles of garbage bags.
