CBD Oil vs. CBD Flower, What’s the Difference?

Ever since people realized that THC isn’t the only ingredient of marijuana, they’ve been looking for other elements and testing their properties. CBD or cannabidiol is probably one of the most exciting ingredients because of its features.

First of all, CBD is very different than THC, meaning that it doesn’t make users high. Instead, it’s used as a dietary supplement or a medicine that can help with seizures, pain, Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s’ muscle disorders, anxiety, and depression.

There’s a lot of research that proves all of these properties, showing little to no side-effects caused by CBD use. This is why people with these issues are interested in using CBD. But cannabidiol comes in many different forms, and this can create confusion.

Today we will talk about CBD oil and CBD flowers and their differences.

What is CBD Oil & CBD Flower?

CBD Flowers

CBD flowers are sometimes called CBD buds, or hemp flowers. These cannabis buds are grown and modified so that they contain a small amount of THC. CBD hemp flowers are meant for therapeutic use without any psychoactive effects.

Even though there is little THC in these flowers, the high concentration of CBD removes any high. Flowers are full of CBD, flavonoids, terpenes, and they are almost identical to marijuana flowers.

CBD Oils

CBD oils are marijuana extracts. However, the extraction process gets only the cannabidiol out of the plant without any THC. This means that CBD oils can be 100% THC-free. CBD oil can have different potency levels depending on the plant it’s extracted from and the extraction process itself.

CBD Flowers Work Faster

The best way to use CBD flowers is through vaping. This involves pulmonary administration or simply inhaling something directly into your lungs. This approach has many benefits over any other oral use of CBD.

CBD flowers work fast, and you can start feeling the effects in about 10 minutes. The effects are very intense because the lungs’ whole surface area quickly absorbs the substance. The results are much faster than CBD oil even when you smoke or vape oil.

CBD Oil Has a “Clean” Effect

CBD is the primary substance that people are interested in. This is why people started extracting it from marijuana plants. With CBD oil, you usually get a narrow amount of ingredients. In some cases, the products will also be referred to as “pure,” even though they rarely are

In most cases, manufacturers of CBD oils will mark them as “hemp extracts” because they don’t know how many of which ingredients the oil has. In some cases, the CBD will have slim amounts of other ingredients. Although this might sound like a good thing, it isn’t. You can be safe with products like CBD LOLLIPOPS 24 COUNT JAR

Different studies have shown that cannabidiol works better when accompanied by other natural ingredients, even though we are yet to see any real explanations as to why a CBD isolate is inferior in comparison.

CBD Flower Has an “Entourage Effect”

Cannabis has a lot of other cannabinoids, not just THC and CBD. This includes CBN, CBC, CBG, and many others. These cannabinoids still aren’t researched well enough, and there’s little that we know about them. However, two things are certain:

  1. They don’t have any psychoactive effects;
  2. They work well together;

The CBD isolate has weaker effects than when used along with all other cannabinoids apart from THC. Together, these elements are believed to cause an “entourage effect,” meaning that they work in synergy to produce the effects users love.

With a CBD flower, you get this effect whenever using it. However, with CBD oil, you can’t always expect to get it because there are often missing ingredients. Furthermore, in CBD oils, ingredients are often added separately, and this disrupts the formula.

Dosing is Easier With CBD Oil

CBD oil comes in a package where all the main ingredients are outlined, and there are even instructions for users. Depending on the potency of the product and the user’s experience, it’s easy to measure your dose and get exactly how much you need.

With CBD flowers, this isn’t so easy. Each flower comes with a different CBD to THC ratio. Even if it’s the same breed, the proportions of ingredients will never be identical. This means that users need to start slow and find the right dosage.

It takes time, but once you have a bit of experience, you can easily adjust your dosage. In general, it’s a better option for experienced users.

Bottom Line

Each of these two has its upsides and downsides. It’s up to you to pick what you like. Try both of them and make sure to follow the instructions. Start slow if you’re a first-time user.
