Colorado: Latest update to the recent Task Force announcement regarding SB 22-205, Intoxicating Hemp and Tetrahydrocannabinol Products.

The Department of Revenue State Licensing Authority (CDOR), in coordination with the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) (departments), are providing an update to the recent Task Force announcement regarding SB 22-205, Intoxicating Hemp and Tetrahydrocannabinol Products.
On June 27, 2022, the departments released the SB 22-205 Task Force appointments in accordance with SB 22-205.
Upon further review of the legislation, the departments see value in incorporating additional hemp and marijuana industry stakeholder perspectives on the Task Force in order to broaden the range of expertise available to address the complicated issues surrounding intoxicating hemp products.
To that end, both CDA and CDPHE are reappointing their agency appointments to the Task Force and in their place making the following appointments:
  • Jared Stanley of Charlotte’s Web, Inc.
  • Michael Hennesy of Wana Brands, LLC.
The departments believe the unique perspectives of Mr. Stanley and Mr. Hennesy will add value to the final recommendations made to the General Assembly.
The departments are committed to maintaining staff presence during all Task Force meetings and will provide technical assistance if requested by the group.
All updates about the SB22-205 Intoxicating Hemp and Tetrahydrocannabinol Products Task Force can be found on the Task Force webpage.
