Curaleaf’s retention of Cozen O’Connor marked the latest example of a major U.S. law firm stepping more visibly into the regulated marijuana space.
A team from Cozen O’Connor’s lobbying arm has signed up to advocate for Curaleaf Holdings Inc., one of the world’s largest cannabis companies.
Cozen O’Connor will assist Massachusetts-based Curaleaf with banking issues facing the cannabis industry, according to a recent federal lobbying disclosure. The lobbying team will also represent Curaleaf in discussions surrounding the More Act, federal legislation that would remove marijuana from scheduling under the Controlled Substances Act.
