JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Cultivation, Standards and Practices Cultivation will serve as a key resource for the cultivation department, supporting R&D initiatives and serving as a functional lead in the implementation of ERP system software. The Director of Cultivation, Standards and Practices will have a strong understanding of cultivation related processes and familiarity with research practices including data collection and statistical analysis. Director of Cultivation, Standards and Practices will be responsible for supporting cultivation R&D initiatives, generating comprehensive reports to inform best-practice strategies, and navigate ERP software integration on behalf of the Cultivation department.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • In-depth understanding of cultivation and production practices
  • Support cultivation R&D initiatives through data collection, statistical analysis, and report generation
  • Provide recommendations for best-practice strategies informed by research findings
  • Ensure delivery of projects on time
  • Serve as a functional lead on behalf of the cultivation department throughout ERP software implementation
  • Define and document ERP cultivation needs, cultivation processes, flows, and diagrams
  • Support ERP initiatives in design, development, and implementation of plans to translate enterprise information system objectives into functional business systems for cultivation
  • Prioritize cultivation user requirements and functional requirements
  • Create reports, document and present analyses, project status, risks, and issues pertaining to ERP implementation
  • Participate in cross-functional, cross-discipline project teams to better leverage the ERP systems
  • Identify tasks and interrelationships to evaluate functional and cross-functional software requirements
  • Assist key users in validating ERP core functionality through test-case scenarios
  • Identifies functional gaps and addresses them actively in collaboration with project team
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of user support training modules and manuals

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years experience in a plant science, agriculture, horticulture, or a similarly related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree (advanced degree preferred, but not required) in either plant biology, horticulture, agriculture research & statistics, data science, business analytics, or a similarly related technical field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, powerpoint, etc.)
  • Research experience (preferred)
  • CRM or ERP experience (not required, but strongly preferred)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong note taker with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Shows a high degree of proactive thinking, strong communication, and presentation skills – collaborative mindset
  • Self-starter, critical thinker with creative problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable communicating ongoing projects and status updates to upper management

  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
