Does CBD Oil Work Without THC?

There are a lot of questions that are floating around regarding CBD. People want to know how it’s made, how it affects the body, where you can find it and what the perfect dosage is. If you’ve done any research on CBD, then you know it is often talked about with THC as a related topic.

CBD doesn’t contain THC naturally, though you can sometimes find THC in CBD products that you’re purchasing. THC is the component of the cannabis plant that makes you feel high when you consume it. There are health benefits of THC, but some people try to stay away from it.

Rightfully so; it can cause you to fail a drug test that is provided by your employer. CBD without THC can still be very beneficial to our body’s cannabinoid system. You don’t have to utilize THC to see results. Let’s look more closely at the topic of CBD oil without the use of THC.

Our Brain and Our Body With the Use of CBD and THC

When we consume a cannabinoid of some sort, our brain and our central nervous system will be

affected. These cannabinoids latch onto endocannabinoid receptors in our body. These receptors include CB1 receptors and CB2 receptors. Most of the CB1 receptors are located within our brain. CB2 receptors can be found elsewhere in the body, affecting our levels of inflammation and pain. Inflammation can be the result of injuries, but it also comes from a number of health issues and conditions. CB2 receptors also play a big part in our immune system responses. You won’t get similar cognitive effects of THC when you are using CBD, but you can still achieve a good balance. THC comes with some side effects that people don’t like, such as anxiety, paranoia and increased heart rate. You can actually counteract some of these symptoms with CBD.

The Entourage Effect

CBD is isolated from the cannabis plant so it can be used for some very specific conditions. It can also be used along with other cannabinoids in order to achieve an entourage effect. This means certain cannabinoids can be better suited for certain issues. When you combine them together, you can achieve a larger array of benefits. CBD and THC are often used for pain and inflammation. Terpenes and flavonoids work together for other bodily functions. You can take a full-spectrum product if you are looking to target your entire body as a whole. What type of product you choose depends on what you’re looking to treat. Only you can decide what you’re comfortable with when it comes to taking a natural supplement each day. Thus, many people start to take CBD oil as a way to improve their overall health from a physical and mental standpoint. There are so many great benefits that can come from CBD.

CBD without THC can be effective for your symptoms of pain, inflammation, anxiety, stomach upset and so much more. As it interacts with your endocannabinoid receptors, you can achieve a much better sense of balance in your body. Spend some time looking into different brands of CBD that fit into your budget. Make sure that you’re getting something that is very safe and effective. You can use third-party lab results to view things like THC content and additional ingredients. You should also consult your physician about starting up a CBD regimen. If you’re taking other prescription medications each day or are dealing with a chronic health condition of some sort, it’s very beneficial for your doctor to clear you for safe use of CBD.
