What started as a call to police about a domestic dispute at the Motel 6 on Thursday night ended with drug charges for a Lowell man.

Tewksbury Police said they charged Tricelle Durham, 56, with trafficking cocaine (36 to 100 grams), possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and violation of an abuse prevention order.

Police said they were first called to the Motel 6, at 95 Main St., shortly after 7:20 p.m. for reports of a domestic argument. On scene, police said they found Durham arguing with a female, who he was required by law to stay away from as part of an abuse prevention order.

While arresting Durham for the alleged offense, police said they found in his possession 63 grams of cocaine and 11 grams of crack cocaine.
