NEW YORK — As New York and New Jersey move toward adopting and implementing adult-use legalization policies, respectively, attorneys and policy specialists from Vicente Sederberg LLP (VS) are available to provide commentary and analysis on cannabis policy developments and related issues.

On January 27, VS counsel Elliot Choi will moderate a New York State Bar Association webinar featuring two of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s top officials working on cannabis policy issues. Norman Birenbaum, who serves as director of cannabis programs for the New York State Executive Chamber and president of the Cannabis Regulators Association (CANNRA), will provide an overview of CANNRA’s objectives and how they could affect cannabis legislation and regulations in New York and the Northeast. Axel Bernabe, Assistant Counsel for Health to Gov. Cuomo, will provide medical cannabis and hemp policy updates and discuss what is next for adult-use legalization in the Empire State.
