In Connecticut, a man who was refused employment by Amazon is suing them in federal court because they passed over his application after he admitted to using medical marijuana for PTSD. In Connecticut, there is a law which prevents employers from discriminating based on such charges. However, as we’ve seen in other cases, federal law seems to supersede state law here, and legal experts call the case an “uphill battle.” For more on the case, check it out in the Connecticut Law Tribune. We did a quick search on the issue and as yet no other media is reporting it. If we find more detail it will be posted over the weekend.
On the other hand when searching for the case we got plenty of the following. So obviously it is fine to sell medical cannabis related titles to your heart’s content but god forbid employing someone who is a registered medical cannabis patient !
