With the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill that legalized hemp, control of the U.S. House of Representatives shifting to the Democratic Party, and continued growth in legal cannabis, there is a tremendous amount of momentum for and interest in the cannabis and hemp industries.
Business owners and entrepreneurs are wondering if they should focus more efforts in hemp now that it is legal nationwide. Meanwhile, federal lawmakers are working to decriminalize cannabis, while state legislators are considering expanding legal cannabis and CBD use, and some local groups are working to actually limit the presence of dispensaries and pop-up events in their communities.
What does this all mean?
2019 could prove to present the greatest opportunities and challenges for cannabis and hemp that we have ever experienced.
During this panel discussion, we will:
1) Review the size of the legal cannabis and hemp markets.
2) Identify the key differences between hemp and cannabis use.
3) Discuss what hemp legalization really means for people and businesses.
4) Highlight the new legislative efforts at the federal and state level.
5) Detail what opportunities exist in the cannabis and hemp industries in 2019.
6) Fill you in on how the bill affects your life and business.
