Former Madison firefighter pleads guilty to cocaine possession charges

MADISON (WKOW) — A former Madison firefighter charged with several drug crimes entered a plea agreement with prosecutors on Monday.

Trevor Wiggins, 48, pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor cocaine possession and one felony count of manufacturing/delivering cocaine, according to court records.

The state dropped four other felony drug charges against Wiggins, as part of the plea agreement.

The court found Wiggins guilty of the two possession charges but withheld judgement on the manufacturing/delivering charge. Judgement will be revisited in a year.

The court also withheld sentencing Wiggins on the possession charges during a two-year probation period. During that time, Wiggins must pay court costs and keep a record of his DNA on file. He also may not use or possess drug paraphernalia and/or controlled substances without a prescription.
