French cannabis tech startup Rainbow raises €1 million to launch two new brands

French cannabis tech startup Rainbow has closed a funding round of €1 million from private investors to tackle the problem of the century: stress. With the funds, Rainbow (website coming soon) launches two wellness brands in the UK and France, Kaya and Peace & Skin (website coming soon) to relax people thanks to the virtues of hemp and other adaptogenic plants.

Founded in 2019, this ambitious project has been put together by a diverse team with a range of successes already under their belts. The team includes Emmanuel Jesberger, Gaétan Laederich and Camille Brocco (the founder of Vaïvaï, the company that brought coconut water to France), Ludovic Rachou (the founder of the innovative confectionery brands One Gum and Bonsaï), and Alison Ouvrier-Neyret (a doctor of pharmacy, who has developed a number of cosmetic brands).

Using an ecological product, which requires little water and no pesticides, and is grown 45 minutes from Paris, Rainbow also intends to help change its legal status. The brands that they now launch are Kaya and Peace & Skin. Kaya uses CBD to help people fight stress on a daily basis with natural formulas adapted to all situations, in products like chewing gum, candy, etc. Peace & Skin helps people fight the effects of stress on the skin, with a relaxing and organic hemp-based and adaptogenic plant routine, available from September.

The funds for this round come from renowned private investors such as Alexis de Galembert (La Fabrique Cookies), Augustin Paluel Marmont (Michel and Augustin) and Yan Hascoët (Private Driver).
