It is important to note that the closure restrictions do not include cannabis retailers. Dispensaries can stay open, although like all businesses they are encouraged to explore ways to help customers maintain a safe social distance of at least six feet. Board members from the Oregon Cannabis Association were in contact with the Governor’s office this morning requesting that cannabis retailers be deemed essential in all public health conversations. Our message is that dispensaries, just like pharmacies, are essential to the health of thousands of Oregonians.
Our hope is that we all follow Governor Brown’s and the CDC’s advice to minimize the impact of this outbreak. Wash your hands, stay home as much as possible, and if you absolutely must go out maintain a safe social distance. Most of all, take care of yourselves and each other.
