On Friday morning, narcotics officers and Southern California Edison employees paid a visit to a home in the 800 block of W. College Ave., near Mt. Whitney High School.
Officers got an anonymous tip that the residents were operating a marijuana grow and stealing electricity to power the drug operation, said Sgt. Paul Esquibel.
After getting a search warrant, officers and the Tulare Area Regional Gang Enforcement Team (TARGET) went to the home.
While searching the home, officers found a large indoor marijuana grow. Police said they found 162 plants and some processed marijuana — 140 pounds worth.
