In this episode I speak with Rob Mejia Adjunct Professor at Stockton University about the new cannabis course(s) he has taken the lead in developing.
As many have said education is key in the cannabis sector and Rob has taken the bull by the horns and acted on that, providing concrete practical educational solutions in NJ.
I have a funny feeling that tertiary institutions around the US and internationally will soon be knocking at his door asking how he can help them do it too.
Rob Mejia is an Adjunct Professor at Stockton University where he teaches the Introduction to Medical Cannabis and Preparation for Cannabis Internship classes. As one of the leads for the hemp/cannabis internship program he has helped place dozens of students in valuable internships. He is also creating new curriculum for the cannabis studies department focusing on social justice and cannabis and integrated cannabis media. He is often called upon to speak about cannabis at events and to diverse audiences.

The Cannabis Studies minor program was started in 2018 to help prepare Stockton students interested in entering the cannabis and hemp industries. Led by the Coordinator of Cannabis Studies, Dr.Ekaterina Sedia, the university has offered multiple courses in a variety of cannabis related subjects and helped place students in internships around New Jersey. The following semester the Continuing Education department developed the Online Certificate of Cannabis Studies for adult learners looking to expand their cannabis knowledge.
