Former CW Nevada Owner Accused of Passing Bad Checks
Brian Padgett was the former CEO of CW Nevada. He has been charged with writing $400,000 in bad checks in 2018, according to court records. A criminal complaint was filed in early 2020 in the Las Vegas Justice Court which accused Brian Padgett of passing a check without sufficient funds with intent to defraud. He was booked at the Clark County Detention Center. Info.

Former CW Nevada CEO Accused of Taking Client’s Money
A former client of Brian Padget’s law firm is accusing him of taking $152,00 from a lawsuit awarded in 2016. Bruce Familian won a lawsuit from Clark County over land that was condemned. The monies were place in an account which Padgett’s law firm was granted access to. Familian claims he has not received any monies. Info.

Lawyer Used Cocaine with Woman Who Died of Overdose
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Attorney Brian Padgett and former CEO of CW Nevada told Henderson police in a recorded interview that he consumed “a little” cocaine with Catherine “Katie” Howard, 38, of Henderson on the morning of June 25, 2017, at a home on Moyer Drive. Padgett said he later found Howard dead in her bedroom. The Clark County coroner’s office ultimately ruled Howard’s death an accidental overdose due to heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine intoxication. Henderson police asked Padgett why he did not call authorities after discovering the woman’s lifeless body. “Obviously, I guess I should have,” the attorney responded in an audio recording of the interview. Padgett was not arrested or charged with wrongdoing in the death. Info.
