Nevada’s Mega Cannabis Store Planet 13 & Their Customers Donate over 25,000 Cans of Food and Toys Over Holidays

Great to see them doing this over the holidays when so many are having a terrible time of it. It would be wonderful if they could also work with farms to provide  fresh food and veg next year ?

The World’s Largest Cannabis Superstore joins forces with Green Life Productions to provide much appreciated help to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission and SafeNest, thanks to generous gifts from Planet 13 customers, staff and sponsored vendors

Known for its award-winning brands, cultivation, production and dispensary operations, Planet 13 is proud to celebrate the holidays by giving back to the community. On Dec. 7, Planet 13 donated 25,000 Cans of food and toys to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission and SafeNest.

Two semi-trailer trucks loaded the donations at the SuperStore at 2548 W Desert Inn Rd, Las Vegas. Customers, vendors, and staff contributed to this colossal donation.

Along with Planet 13 and Green Life Productions (GLP), sponsored vendors including TRENDI, ROVE, Dreamland Chocolates, Cannabella, Evergreen Organix, MOXIE, OMG THC, MEDIZIN, Nature’s Chemistry, HaHa, and LEAF & VINE gave generously.

“This has been a very tough year for many families, so it only makes sense for us to do what we can to help,” said David Farris Planet 13 V.P. of Sales and Marketing. “We are incredibly appreciative of everyone who donated to our holiday canned food and toy drive along with the GLP team and sponsored vendors. Our mission is to make the holidays brighter for as many local families as possible.”

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission campus takes up two city blocks in downtown Las Vegas, helping hundreds of men, women and their children daily, and providing approximately 30,000 meals each month. SafeNest is Nevada’s largest, most comprehensive nonprofit dedicated to ending domestic violence.

The donations will continue to come-in at Planet 13 until Dec.15, 2020.

Jardín Dispensary and REAL 103.9 FM with the support of Curaleaf’s brand Select, Green Thumb Industries (GTI) and Craig Nakamura, MD, provided 500 Thanksgiving dinners for local families in need, along with the support of Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom. Beginning Tues, Nov 24 thru Thanksgiving Day, individuals in need who visited Jardín received a voucher for a complete Turkey Dinner that feeds up to 6 people. “Now more than ever, it is imperative that we do whatever we can to support members of our community who are struggling. This initiative is an example of the cannabis industry’s dedication to social responsibility and Jardín’s commitment to improving the lives of our stakeholders and fellow citizens”, said Jardin’s CEO, Adam Denmark ” Info.
Shango Sponsors Food Drive & Helping Hands Charity Event
Shango Las Vegas has teamed up with Veterans Village for a non-perishable food and clothing drive to help needy vets throughout the holidays. The Shango Holiday Food Drive for Veterans Village ends Dec. 22, with food, winter clothing and monetary donations accepted at the Shango Las Vegas cannabis dispensary at 4380 Boulder Highway. Shango also contributed $5,000 to help fund expenses for three Village Shares.
Shango also is a sponsor of the Larry Griffith Helping Hands Charity Eventbenefiting Veterans Village and the Nevada Youth Network. The event is centered around a food, toys and clothing drop-off for Veterans Village residents. with a charity donation drop off on Tuesday, Dec. 22, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Veterans Village Shared Village #2 at 50 N. 21st Street in Las Vegas. The items needed include new toys, thermals, gloves, scarves, socks, canned goods, hygiene products, blankets and towels.

On Veterans Day The Apothecarium dispensary donated a portion of its $5 State Flower pre-rolls to Forgotten Not Gone.
