Their press release says that  their new website will serve as hub for communicating directly with voters, volunteers, and stakeholders throughout New Jersey

Newark NJ:  NJ CAN 2020, a ballot campaign with the mission of getting to a “yes” vote on adult use cannabis legalization in New Jersey, has started the next phase of campaigning with the launch of, an online clearinghouse for the ballot question and a portal for building grassroots momentum.

This interactive tool will serve as:

  • A clearinghouse to help voters better understand why cannabis legalization is so necessary for our current moment
  • A virtual staging ground for an ambitious grassroots organizing effort
  • A portal for communicating with stakeholders throughout New Jersey

The site lays out the impact of legalization on advancing racial and social justice, strengthening public health and safety, and fostering economic development to move New Jersey forward, among other fundamental reasons why legalization is the right option for our state. Voters can learn more about the ballot question itself, get information about their registration, find an in-person polling place for Election Day, or understand the steps to submit a vote-by-mail application in advance.

“The question of marijuana legalization, already urgent, now takes on pivotal importance at our current historic moment, and will help New Jerseyans cross the finish line to create a more just, more prosperous, more equitable state,” said Axel Owen, Campaign Manager for NJ CAN 2020. “Right now, with the pandemic upending the traditional campaign playbook, our site will allow voters to access information directly and enlist volunteers to make legalization a reality here in New Jersey.”
