New York Will Open “Conditional Adult Use Retail Dispensary” License Applications on August 25

New York has just announced that next week (starting August 25, 2022) it will be accepting applications for “Conditional Adult Use Retail Dispensary” (CAURD) licenses. These licenses are limited to “justice involved’ individuals (or their family members) who have been previously convicted of a cannabis related offense in New York or resided in a community that was inordinately impacted by the War on Drugs.  The CAURD licenses allow the holders to operate from state-built and funded locations throughout New York.  Only 150 CAURD licenses will be issued; standout applications will have the greatest likelihood of success in being awarded one of these coveted 150 licenses.

Prince Lobel’s cannabis team is already working with our CAURD eligible clients. Do not wait until the application window opens to start getting ready – begin to organize and prepare today!  We urge you to contact us TODAY and look forward to assisting you in this pursuit. Do not delay reaching out to us if you have any questions or would like assistance in the process because the window closes on September 26, 2022.
