This week, PayPal shut down our account for selling cannabis education.
They said we violated their terms, but this is fundamentally false.
Interestingly it is worth noting that somewhere at Paypal Central the legal department must have issued a directive because over the wires we’ve heard of a number of online businesses with cannabis content connections are having similar issues over the last month.
And to think one of the original founders famously did this…
ebay are the owners of the service. This is their current board.
Let’s hope that none of them or the Paypal board own any cannabis stock?

This week, PayPal shut down our account for selling cannabis education.
They said we violated their terms, but this is fundamentally false.
We sell online courses.
We power the training programs of universities.
We build learning and development programs for companies.
Nothing we do even comes close to breaking any local, state, or federal laws.
WE ARE AN EDUCATION COMPANY!!
Truth is, this is just a knee jerk reaction to the subject matter of our content.
But after having our accounts shut down in just about every domain (bank, merchant, e-commerce, social, insurance, etc) since starting Green Flower in 2014, this has just become another day at the office. 🤣
Look, it takes tremendous resilience and courage to be in cannabis.
Most people don’t understand how hard this truly is.
SHOUT OUT to all my cannabis professionals who deal with this stuff everyday, and keep moving forward despite it.
I see you, and I’m glad we’re all fighting this ridiculous stigma together. 🙌
