The company said it has reserved “an expansive dedicated space” within its flagship, uber luxury SuperStore dispensary in Las Vegas for a consumption lounge which it will look to get built “as soon as possible”
Planet 13 Holdings Inc (CSE:PLTH) (OTCQB:PLNHF), a leading vertically integrated cannabis company, hailed the recently passed Bill 341 allowing existing licensed dispensaries to operate a consumption lounge co-located with the dispensary.
In a statement, the Nevada company said Planet 13 has reserved “an expansive dedicated space” within its Las Vegas SuperStore for a consumption lounge which it will look to get built “as soon as possible.”
The company’s flagship, uber luxury SuperStore dispensary, the Planet 13 Cannabis Entertainment Complex is located not far from the famous Las Vegas Strip. At 112,000 square feet, the SuperStore is the biggest cannabis store in the world, attracting one million visitors in 2019.
“We are thrilled that after the long wait, Nevada will finally be home to consumption lounges. We’ve long believed that tourists needed a safe, legal, and enjoyable place to consume cannabis and have been planning for a consumption lounge at the SuperStore since the bill was originally proposed two years ago,” said Bob Groesbeck co-CEO of Planet 13.
“Our SuperStore is one of the only dispensaries with the space on site and the proximity to the Las Vegas Strip to create a truly Vegas style club. As with the rest of our dispensary we look forward to setting the bar and showing the industry what is possible when your goal is to Out Vegas, Vegas.”
The SuperStore is a showcase for a growing portfolio of branded products, including vapes, edibles, pre-rolls and concentrates at the top-rated tourist hotspot.
Planet 13 is planning to open a second Las Vegas dispensary, as well as launching the company’s first retail location in California.
