Today, we proudly announce that the first awardees of the Certified Seal will be shared with the public on Friday, March 1. This will allow companies that are in the pipeline – and those who start now – nearly five weeks to study the guidelines and pass the third- party audit which is administered by Where Food Comes From, the nation’s premier provider of certification and verification services to the food industry. We are also excited to announce that our sister organization, the US Hemp Roundtable, is offering two scholarships to small hemp businesses that are able to complete and pass the auditing process by the March 1 announcement. The Roundtable will cover all of the auditing costs (a $1,395.00 savings), while the companies are still expected to pay for their licensing fees. Finally, as with any new startup organization, the US Hemp Authority is constantly engaged in self-evaluation and improvement. Stage 2.0 of our Guidance Plan process will be launched in March, and led by David Bossman who led the design of the original Guidance Plan. This will again be a public process, involving all Hemp Supporters and the entire industry.
