Committee Updates
- The Corporate Forms and Business Practices Committee has been meeting regularly since mid-March (Stewards: Rebecca Lee and Josh Kappel, Board Rep: Nicole Howell). Committee members passed internal processes for decision making and are discussing a variety of issues related to corporate governance and public benefit-based business models.
- The Ethics Committee (Steward: Jeff Merk, Board Rep: Roman Haferd) has held two meetings and will meet monthly. The Committee is considering a proposal regarding public benefit-based business models, as well as ethical considerations for attorneys working in the space.
- The Intellectual Property Committee (Steward: Graham Pechenik, Board Rep: Craig Guthery) will be hosting their respective kick-off meetings in the coming weeks.
- The Legalization and Regulation Committee (Steward: Gary Smith, Board Rep: Hadas Alterman) has been meeting regularly since mid-March and is considering internal processes for decision making and agenda setting for the committee’s work.
- The Litigation and Advocacy Committee (Steward: Matt Zorn, Board Rep: Kathryn Tucker) held their first meeting and will be considering internal decision making and agenda setting for the committee’s work.
- The Religious Use Committee has been meeting regularly since February (Steward: Martha Hartney, Board Rep: Ariel Clark). Committee members passed internal processes for decision making and are working on deliverables to be produced by the Committee.
