PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) – Pueblo City Council is preparing to take steps to regulate psychedelic mushrooms.
Voters approved legalization of the mushrooms in certain clinical settings and Monday night, City Council is voting on an ordinance which would regulate the use and distribution of natural psychedelic medicine.
In 2022 voters approved proposition 122, legalizing mushrooms, lawmakers also passed a law in 2023 setting up new state regulations around natural medicine.
Now, Pueblo City Council is making sure they’re ready for if people start submitting applications to open healing centers or natural medicine businesses in the city.
