Three and a half kilos of drugs, including hashish and marijuana, precision scales and a kit for packaging drugs. This is what was found by the Carabinieri of the Palau Station, assisted by the military of Arzachena, during a check carried out on the evening of Friday 21 February 2025, in the home of a 41-year-old from Ozieri, held responsible for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and arrested by the military.
The checks were carried out along state road 125, near the entrance to the town of Arzachena, where the Carabinieri stopped a car with two men on board. At the sight of the patrol, the passenger of the vehicle threw a white package out of the window. Recovered by the military, it was discovered that it contained 50 grams of cocaine.
Immediately afterward, the Carabinieri decided to proceed with a search of the home of the man who had tried to get rid of the drugs, finding approximately 1.5 kilos of hashish, almost 2 kilos of marijuana, as well as precision scales and material for the preparation and packaging of the drug. The 41-year-old was arrested and transferred to the Sassari-Bancali prison pending the validation hearing, at the disposal of the Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor’s Office.
In the meantime, the home of the driver of the vehicle was also searched, where 12 grams of hashish were found. The man was reported to the Prefecture of Sassari and his driving license was withdrawn.
