A HIGH-PROFILE criminal lawyer has been charged by police after he was allegedly caught with cocaine in Scotland’s High Court.
The 46-year-old is accused of being in possession of the class A drug at the High Court of Glasgow on July 31.
Court staff claim the drugs were found during a security check when the lawyer entered the court building last month to represent a client.
The matter was then brought to the attention of police.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 46-year-old man was charged in connection with drugs offences at the High Court in Glasgow on Wednesday, 31 July. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
