Scotland: Police swoop nets £123k cannabis haul in Port Glasgow

A MAN has been arrested and charged after police discovered cannabis plants with a street value of more than £123,000 at a property in Port Glasgow.

Officers recovered a quantity of plants after a drugs search warrant was executed at Jean Street on Tuesday.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged.

Chief Inspector Paul Cameron, area commander for Inverclyde said: “This was excellent work by Inverclyde’s local community policing team.

“We continue to tackle the production and sale of drugs across Inverclyde.
