Sydney man charged after allegedly concealing drugs in fruit box for quarantined traveller

The moment a man allegedly delivered drugs concealed in a fruit box straight to police has been caught on camera in Sydney.

The 37-year-old was allegedly attempting to deliver MDMA to a traveller quarantined inside a CBD hotel on Thursday.

CCTV shows the man walk into the hotel and hand the box straight over to police.

But before the fruit box went anywhere, a police officer is seen pulling out an envelope, which allegedly contained an MDMA capsule.

The man was arrested and police allegedly found a bag of white powder, believed to be cocaine, on him.

He was issued with a Court Attendance Notice for supply prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.

The 37-year-old is due to face court in June.
