INTERIM POLICY NOTICE – #BIP-01-2017

 

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board has issued an Interim Policy to provide requirements and guidance for sales of immature marijuana plants or clones and seeds between licensed producers and qualifying patients, designated providers, and members of a registered cooperative in response to the passage of ESSB 5131 during the 2017 Legislative Session. This Interim Policy is effective July 23, 2017, and expires when permanent rules take effect. Permanent rulemaking to implement these provisions is currently underway.

NOTICE OF RULE MAKING – Pre-proposal – #17-14

 

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board has entered into the initial stage of rulemaking (CR 101) to consider rule changes in Chapter 314-55 related to advertising. Rule changes are needed as a result of changes to advertising requirements in law due to the passage of ESSB 5131 during the 2017 Legislative Session. The CR 101 is the initial notification of potential rulemaking and no rule language is offered at this stage of the process.

The Liquor and Cannabis Board encourages you to give input on the subject of these potential changes.  Following the comment period, the agency will send out and publish the proposed rules, establish a comment period on the proposed rules, and hold a public hearing before the rules are adopted.

NOTICE OF RULE MAKING – Pre-proposal – #17-13

 

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board has entered into the initial stage of rulemaking (CR 101) to consider rule changes in Chapter 314-55 WAC due to the passage of legislation affecting marijuana laws during the 2017 Legislative Session in ESSB 5131, SB 5130, and HB 1250. Other technical, clarifying, and needed changes to rules identified by staff and stakeholders will be addressed, incorporating the CR-101 filed as WSR 16-15-035 into this rulemaking. The CR 101 is the initial notification of potential rulemaking and no rule language is offered at this stage of the process.

The Liquor and Cannabis Board encourages you to give input on the subject of these potential changes.  Following the comment period, the agency will send out and publish the proposed rules, establish a comment period on the proposed rules, and hold a public hearing before the rules are adopted.
