Tourist offers Spanish police £17,000 to ‘look the other way’ after cleaner finds Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck Hash in hotel room

A holidaymaker offered cops £8,500 each to look the other way after a cleaner found drugs in his hotel room.

The housekeeper spotted the suspicious-looking packages while sprucing up the suite on Monday (5 May).

A snap from the Spanish Civil Guard shows eight blocks of the drug.

They were stamped with identical labels depicting weed-related imagery, as reported by Need To Know.

In the centre of each label was a cartoon of Donald Duck holding a gun and Mickey Mouse with a large joint.

Security staff at the hotel in Mijas, on the Costa del Sol, called in the police.

The responding officers confirmed that the suspicious packages likely contained hashish.

They waited in the room for the holidaymaker to return.

When he arrived, he reportedly offered them €10,000 (£8,500) each if they chose not to arrest him.

The officers spurned the bribe and asked to see the man’s passport, which they quickly realised was fake.

They seized the drugs and the forged ID, along with £1,600 (€1,930) in cash found on the suspect.

His identity is withheld, but he is accused of drug-related offences, using false documents and offering a bribe.

It is not clear how many officers were involved in the arrest.

The suspect has been handed over to the authorities in nearby Fuengirola.
