Members of the Addiction Prevention and Rehabilitation Association of Uganda have asked Parliament to give priority to the health of Ugandans instead of the commercial benefits of Marijuana and Khat production and sale. The activists say marijuana and khat continue to have adverse effects to the youths. Their concern comes as MPs on the Parliamentary Committee on Defence scrutinize the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Bill, 2023 will regulate the use of drugs in the country.
