UK: 9 March 2021 Metropolitan Police confirm Cannabis factory found in basement below a solicitors office in London.

On 8 March 2021, Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a blaze at a four-storey block of flats with shops underneath it on Willesden Lane in Willesden. A small area of the basement under a shop and a small area of a flat in the residential block were damaged by the fire. No injuries were reported. Station Commander Paul Morgan, who was at the scene, said: “Fire crews arrived to see smoke issuing from the basement into the ground floor of the building. They worked hard to contain the blaze to the basement and a small area of one flat.” Crews worked with water and gas authorities to isolate utilities and make the area safe. The Brigade was called at 1451 and the fire was under control by 1727. Fire crews from Willesden, North Kensington and Park Royal fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
