UK: Around 100 cannabis plants thought to be worth £400,000 found at Nottingham home

Officers also seized cannabis growing equipment and found that the electricity in the property had been diverted

Police have seized around 100 cannabis plants thought to be worth £400,000 from a Nottingham home.

Officers received intelligence suggesting there was a crop growing inside the home in Askeby Drive in Strelley.

At around 3pm on Tuesday June 8, officers report seeing a car pull onto the drive and they arrested the driver and passenger on suspicion of cannabis production.

Around 100 cannabis were recovered inside the three-bed mid-terrace home.

They were found growing in bedrooms and within the attic.

Officers also seized cannabis growing equipment and found that the electricity in the property had been diverted and was being used.

It’s estimated that a mature fully-grown cannabis plant can potentially have a street value of up to £400, although every plant is different and the yield can vary.
