A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drugs cultivation after police smashed their way in with an enforcer
Police have uncovered a £140,000 cannabis farm within a Birmingham home after a dramatic mid-afternoon raid.
At least ten officers and four police cars were seen descending on the address in Cramlington Road, Great Barr as a drugs warrant was executed yesterday (May 22).
Officers uncovered 140 cannabis plants, thought to have a street value of £1k each, inside the property.
A man, aged 51, was arrested on suspicion of drugs cultivation. He remained in police custody today.
One resident, who witnessed the raid, said the electricity was turned off for a short period while officers disconnected the ‘dangerous bypass’ at the factory.
He said: “There was a police raid in Cramlington Road this afternoon, with four vehicles, at least ten officers, plus reports of the door opened with a battering ram, one arrest, and a cannabis farm discovered.
“The street’s electricity was off for a short time, while they disconnected the dangerous bypass of the meter.”
