We will be coordinating a series of protests across the UK, starting on Sunday 19th July 2020 (see more info below).

Seed the Future is a campaign to persuade the UK Government to:

  • Tell the Truth
  • Protect the People, Environment and Economy of the UK
  • Completely abandon the unsubstantiated laws and regulations surrounding hemp (Cannabis sativa)

Welcome to Seed the Future Campaign.

We are experiencing an economic, environmental, health and food emergency here in the UK. It is clear that our Government has failed in protecting us, our security and our environment. The Government protect corporations who’s sole interest is in making profit for shareholders opposed to acting in the interests of people and the environment.

The only logical way to make a difference is through people power; together we can be the change needed for everyone’s future. This is your opportunity to speak out, act and be part of the solution.

National Protests with a Hint of Rebellion:

Over 100kg of hemp seed has been distributed across the UK, thousands of people have grown hemp plants as a symbol of hope and an act of Non Violent Civil Disobedience against the unfounded and disproportionate laws surrounding this medicinal, nutritional and industrial plant.

On the 19th of July, protests will occur at the following venues at 12 noon:

London: New Scotland Yard

Exeter: Cathedral Green

Bristol: College Green

Brighton: Old Steine Gardens

Birmingham: Cannon Hill Park

Newcastle: Leazes Park (by the bandstand)

Edinburgh: Holyrood Park

Belfast: City Hall

Cardiff: Cathays Park

What to bring with you:

A hemp plant if you have grown one (if you don’t have a plant but have hemp seed, bring some sprouted seed or seed and pots of soil will be provided so that you can plant a seed of hope at the protest).

Make a protest sign or banner to ‘Tell the Truth’.

Or simply just bring yourself, support your future, listen to speeches and have fun.

Legal Note: Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is a Schedule 1 Drug which carries a Class B penalty even though it is completely non-psychoactive, non-toxic, has a myraid of medicinal properties, industrial properties and there is no evidence of harm or dependancy. There is no foundational evidence for it’s classification and it’s prohibition harms our health, our environment, our communities and our economy whilst supporting institutional rasicm and benefiting corporate greed. #StopProhibitionNow
