In the administrative provisions of the Bill—

The relevant provision precludes the use of funds to support VA policy which prohibits VA physicians from completing forms relating to Veterans’ participation in state marijuana programs.

523.None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to implement, administer, or enforce Veterans Health Administration directive 2011–004 (or directive of the same substance) with respect to the prohibition on “VA providers from completing forms seeking recommendations or opinions regarding a Veteran’s participation in a State marijuana program”.

The Senate must also approve it. A conference committee, comprising members of both chambers, issued the report to resolve the differences between the two forms of the bill as passed in each chamber.

Added to the Senate’s floor schedule for the next legislative day on Jun 28, 2016.
