National Marijuana Law Firm Vicente Sederberg LLC Continues Expansion With Addition of Three New Partners
DENVER and LOS ANGELES — Nationally recognized marijuana law firm Vicente Sederberg LLC announced Thursday it will add Cassia Furman, Shawn Hauser, and Charles Alovisetti as partners effective January 1, 2019.
Ms. Furman works in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Ms. Hauser and Mr. Alovisetti are based in its Denver office.

Ms. Furman is managing attorney of Vicente Sederberg’s California Practice Group. She opened the firm’s Los Angeles office in 2016 and has overseen the growth of its California Practice Group to twelve professionals and counting. In addition to supporting the firm’s policy and local government work in California and around the country, she counsels clients on a wide range of transactional, regulatory, and land use issues related to the licensing and operation of California commercial cannabis ventures under MAUCRSA.
Ms. Hauser is chair of the Vicente Sederberg Hemp and Cannabinoids Practice Group. Named one of “Denver’s Top Lawyers” by 5280 magazine in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, she helps marijuana and hemp businesses with general business representation, investment, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property, as well as navigating the intersection between state and federal laws. She is a member of the Hemp Industries Association Legislative Review Committee and the steering committee for the American Hemp Campaign.
Mr. Alovisetti is the chair of the Corporate Department at Vicente Sederberg. He focuses his practice on advising investors, companies, and other law firms on the nuances of executing corporate transactions involving licensed and ancillary cannabis companies. Prior to joining VS, he worked as an associate in the New York offices of Am Law 50 firms Latham & Watkins and Goodwin.
