She successfully lobbied on behalf of the Oregon Industrial Hemp Farmers Association for passage of HB 4060, a bill Courtney authored that protects Oregon industrial hemp agricultural interests. Courtney is also co-petitioner of the Relegalizing Industrial Hemp Project, a formal administrative rulemaking petition to DEA that will remove industrial hemp from the Controlled Substances Act.
