Worcester Polytechnic Institute and cannabis education company Green Flower are partnering to offer cannabis certifications this fall.
The four programs will include cannabis healthcare and medicine; cannabis law and policy; the business of cannabis and cannabis agriculture and horticulture, NBC Boston reported.
This is Green Flower’s first partnership with a Massachusetts college, NBC reported.
“We’re very excited about this partnership with WPI though because of the fact that the Massachusetts cannabis industry is really one of the best in the country in terms of economic growth, in terms of career opportunity and in terms of just acceptance within the space,” Green Flower CEO Max Simon told NBC Boston.
WPI joins American International College and Holyoke Community College in offering cannabis certificates.
