RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Assist General Counsel with ongoing legal matters, including general corporate matters, acquisitions, governance, licensing, litigation, compliance, and employment.
Supervise the management and protection of the Company’s intellectual property.
Draft and review a variety of commercial agreements, including leases, joint venture agreements, letters of intent, procurement and vendor contracts, confidentiality agreements, financing agreements, etc.
Collaborate in developing and maintaining legal compliance and risk mitigation strategies, including drafting and maintaining contract forms, legal documents and systems
Prepare and explain complex legal and commercial issues
Support the business, including handling routine contract drafting, review and negotiation.
Provide support on other legal projects as needed

Who You Are

JD and member of at least one US state bar association with excellent academic credentials
At least 4 years of relevant experience
Familiarity with cannabis regulatory framework preferred
Substantive experience with employment law and corporate transactions
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work independently
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and react quickly as circumstances warrant.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong work ethic and willingness to go “above and beyond” to meet requirements of the position when required.
Highest ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive, non-public, corporate information
