RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Assist General Counsel with ongoing legal matters, including general corporate matters, acquisitions, governance, licensing, litigation, compliance, and employment.
  • Supervise the management and protection of the Company’s intellectual property.
  • Draft and review a variety of commercial agreements, including leases, joint venture agreements, letters of intent, procurement and vendor contracts, confidentiality agreements, financing agreements, etc.
  • Collaborate in developing and maintaining legal compliance and risk mitigation strategies, including drafting and maintaining contract forms, legal documents and systems
  • Prepare and explain complex legal and commercial issues
  • Support the business, including handling routine contract drafting, review and negotiation.
  • Provide support on other legal projects as needed

Who You Are

  • JD and member of at least one US state bar association with excellent academic credentials
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with cannabis regulatory framework preferred
  • Substantive experience with employment law and corporate transactions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and react quickly as circumstances warrant.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to go “above and beyond” to meet requirements of the position when required.
  • Highest ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive, non-public, corporate information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Phoenix, AZ 85034: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
