Millions in cocaine surfaces on Trinidad’s shores

In a significant find earlier this week, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) reported the washing ashore of cocaine in Mayaro, with a staggering estimated value of over TT$21 million.

Discovery at Guayaguayare, Mayaro

Reports are that upon receiving the information, the Mayaro Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officers swiftly converged on a specific location in Guayaguayare, Mayaro.

At the scene, the officers identified 36 packets filled with a white substance strongly resembling cocaine. Weighing in at 46 kilograms, the potential street value of this sizable drug haul is pegged at TT$21,373,440.
